Tabbed Todo List

Tabbed Todo List

This gadget helps you organize your to-do tasks better by allowing you to put them into tabs / categories. That way you'll have a relevant, customizable and good looking todo list in your sidebar or on your desktop. Basically you have multiple todo lists in one! You can also export and import the content if you don't want to lose your tasks when you reinstall your system, etc.

Looks good and I like the functionality, but so far having trouble running it in Linux.

Would be good if we could choose the font size for listed tasks, aswell as the ToDo logo, its huge!

Yeas! This is probly THE BEST & MOST USEFUL EVER GADGET of ALL THE TIME! YaH! Wish I could have it on my win7(other PC) running with my sidebar. nice side-by side :D And fences.. and bing theme! Man I am justified, this made my day, and it's 3:25 of morning! I must go sleep and stop spamming google :P

Looks good; but if there were a way to sync it with google task lists, that would be AWESOME

I like the idea of a tabbed list. Well actually I like being able to set up to-do lists based on categories. So if it's tabs, drop downs, whatever. I would like to be about to set due dates and be able to organize based on due date as well. Is that possible in a desktop gadget like this? Thanks for a great gadget!

Alexey
Thank you for the gadget! I however thought that tabs will be tabs, not a drop-down choice feature. Real tabs would mean I can switch between categories in one click and as is it is cumbersome. Wish you every success in improving usability. Good luck and thank you again!

I have really been enjoying the simplicity and usefulness of this gadget; however, yesterday the font size changed to minuscule and I can't figure out how to change it back. Help!

I think this is a great app for what it is. I think people are expecting WAY too much from a gadget that is meant to be small (byte size) and very simple and easy to use, which I think this is. I also appreciate Teo's quick response. Thanks Teo!

I am having problems running this gadget on Fedoral......anyone else?

I would like to be able to make this gadget much wider, so that each task is entirely visible. When you click on a task to edit or even read it, the tiny scroll bar makes the whole line v. hard to read. Also, I'd like the tabs on the upper left menu to be listed in alpha order. Different colors for different tabs, and for different priority levels, would be nice. But the main thing is being able to re-size the gadget horizontally. Thanks! NB Why can't I type in my screen name ("GrammarLady") for a comment? My only options seem to be my first name or "Anonymous."

I agree with Daniel. We need the ability to move items from one list to another as their priority changes. For example, from the simple "To Do Soon" list to the "Immediate Action" list. You could put the 02468 choice into the right-click menu, and use the bottom line for something more useful. I'd put "New task" at the top, where intuition tells us it should be, and put the tab modifying buttons at the bottom, or in the contextual menu. Remember that the "Gadget" control buttons will obscure anything you put at the top-right of your gadget.

Hi, Just turned it on. I already have gadgets that tell date and time. Can you make this an option so I have more room for TODO's?

The enexpected loss of my list is a real downer!! I find I'm not the only one. Where are the lists actually stored? Can they be recovered? John H

I loved this gadget until one day it disappeared from my desktop taking my to do lists with it. Yes, I should have exported the contents, but if I have to go to this much trouble keeping the list on my desktop isn't worth it. Better to continue using Outlook for long-term projects and use old-fashioned paper and pencil for the "must do today" items.

Brenda
TEO..great idea since it's quick and dirty. OUTLOOK is jealous! ;} Yet this is just a quicker defined gadget. BUT...I need to EDIT a TAB and as an intermediate user went through the normal tries, and no bueno. B T W.I love the Headers and Footers since they are a good visual cue for us visual learners, but would love the DATE,etc to be the Default rather then the Task list options. I am also trying the TODOinSYNC gadget today from Googleious ! so hustle up there. Thanks 4 your response

Jade
Love this.... however it's HUGE... we need it to be able to list things with out other desktop apps... The header and footer need to be smaller IMO.

Tony
Like the Gadget, but keep having to re-install and re-import. A pain!

Rob
Good start, but we need more. NO CHECKBOX please, completed tasks go in trash. Allow us to expand a task and FILL IN TASK DETAILS / PROGRESS. As is, keeping multiple notepads in the bar is far more advantageous.
